What this is

MSRX QR Studio is a free QR code studio that runs in your browser. There is no account, no fee, no subscription and no watermark.

Using it means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.

Who you are agreeing with

MSRX QR Studio is operated by Mrinal Singh Raja, an individual, publishing under the name "MSRX". MSRX is a brand name, not a registered company, and nothing here should be read as implying a company behind it.

In these terms "we", "us", "our" and "MSRX" mean Mrinal Singh Raja. "You" means the person using MSRX QR Studio. Written notice reaches us at mrinalsinghraja@gmail.com.

Your codes are yours

We claim no rights over any code you design or any file you export. Use them commercially, print them, sell what they are printed on — no permission needed and no attribution required.

The codes are generated inside your browser and are never uploaded, so there is no copy of them for us to hold in any case.

Test before you print

A QR code that scans perfectly on the screen you designed it on can still fail in the world. Contrast that looks fine on a bright monitor can be too low on paper. A logo covering too much of the centre eats error-correction budget. Printers resample, inks bleed, laminate reflects, and older scanners are far less forgiving than a modern phone camera.

Scan every code with more than one device, at the size you will actually print it, before you commit to a print run. The studio shows a health check to help, and the health check is a guide, not a guarantee.

We are not responsible for the cost of reprinting anything.

What you encode is your responsibility

A QR code hides its destination — that is the whole point of it, and it is also how QR codes get abused. You are responsible for what yours points to.

• Do not encode a link to malware, a phishing page, or anything unlawful.
• Do not use a code to impersonate a business, a payment request, or a public authority.
• Do not place a code over somebody else's code — on a parking meter, a menu, a poster or an invoice.
• Do not encode somebody else's personal data without a lawful basis.
• Do not use trade marks or logos you have no right to use in a code you distribute.

The AI features

Where the studio offers AI assistance, the text you type into that box is sent to our model provider to generate a suggestion. Do not put personal or confidential information into it. Everything else in the studio works without sending anything anywhere.

Model output is a suggestion to review, not a result to trust. It can be wrong.

Availability

The studio is free and provided with no guarantee that it will be available or uninterrupted, and it may change or stop at any time.

Your saved work lives in your own browser. Clearing your browser data deletes it, and we cannot recover it because we never had it. Export anything you want to keep.

No warranty, and the limit of what we owe

To the fullest extent the law allows, the studio is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for lost profits, lost data, reprinting costs, or any loss arising from a code that does not scan, arising from your use of MSRX QR Studio.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability for all claims is limited to one thousand Indian rupees (₹1,000). Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded under Indian law.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them.

If you use the studio as a consumer elsewhere, this does not remove rights your local law gives you that cannot be removed by agreement. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

Changes

Material changes move the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the studio after that means accepting the revised terms.
